- The Paleo Diet
This diet reflects the days of the cave dweller. It advocates eating like the hunter gatherers of old, theorizing that most modern diseases can be linked to the western diet and the consumption of processed foods. We are not saying this diet cannot provide cave dweller food, but it has been linked to several beneficial health components. Emphasis is on Whole Foods vegetables, fruits, nuts, and lean protein. Grains, sugars, dairy products, and especially processed foods are discouraged. Some versions of this diet allow for cheese and butter. There are multiple health benefits here, one of which is weight loss.
- The Vegan Diet
The vegan diet prohibits all animal products. That is right, you can kiss that steak goodbye. It practices the strictest form of vegetarianism. It also eliminates dairy, eggs and any animal derived products. Low fat and high fiber Content found in this diet can easily lead to weight loss without the daily calorie counting.
- Low-Carb Diets
These diets have been around for decades and involve the limitation of carbohydrates. This diet comes in many varieties, but the basic aim is to force your body to use more fats for fuel rather than using carbs as a primary source of energy.
- The Dukan Diet
This diet features high protein intake combined with Low carbs. It consists of four phases. There are two maintenance and two weight loss phases. The amount of weight you need to lose will dictate how long you stay on each phase. Each phase consists of a different dietary plan. The weight loss phases are centered on unlimited high protein foods, a mandatory oat bran. Other parts of the diet include non-starchy vegetables followed by carbs and fat.

This is the most popular diet. It advises that you can lose weight by eating as much protein and fat as you like if you stay away from carbs. Low carb diets are effective because they reduce your appetite, so you eat fewer calories.
The Adkins diet is divided into 4 phases. There is an induction phase, during which you take in less than 20 grams of carbs per day. This goes on for two weeks. The remaining phases show a slow reintroduction of carves back into your diet as you approach your target weight.
7) The HCG Diet
This is a very extreme diet. This was meant to facilitate weight loss of up to two pounds a day. It boosts metabolism without inducing hunger. It communicates with a woman’s body telling her she is pregnant and maintains the production of hormones that are essential to fetal development. We also find it used in fertility issues. This diet is to divide it into three phases. The first phase includes taking the HCG supplements. The second phase features a very low-calorie content of 500 per day. This second phase could also include drops, supplements, injections, pellets, or sprays. In the third phase you stop taking HCG. in addition, you slowly increase your food intake.
8) The Zone Diet
This is a low glycemic diet that limits carbs to 35 to 45% of daily calories. It recommends eating only carbs. The initial intent of this diet was to reduce diet induced inflammation and cause weight loss. The zone induced diet recommends eating balanced meals consisting of 1/3 protein and 2/3 colorful fruits and Vegetables with a dash of fat. Studies on this diet have proved to be very inconsistent.
9) Intermittent Fasting
